Travis McGee's Book In Third Printing
www.EnemiesForeignAndDomestic.com ^ | September 13th, 2004 | Travis McGee

Posted on 09/13/2004 3:37:07 PM PDT by Travis McGee

Today, on the day the so-called Assault Weapons Ban has passed into history, I thought I'd mention that my Second Amendment novel "Enemies Foreign And Domestic" has just gone into its third printing. The first 3,000 copies have sold out in the past year, and I'm publishing another 2,000 copies. Thanks to all of the freepers who have helped to make the book an internet cult hit!

And I'd also like to mention that with the radical left in complete hysteria over the prospects of a second Bush term, the chances of an arranged "assault rifle massacre" before the election are greater than ever. With the sunset of the AWB all over the national news today, it must be crossing radical minds that a well-timed "assault rifle massacre" could be blamed on President Bush "allowing" the sale of semi-auto rifles.

It's a great book.
I have the hardest time getting my copy back from those I lend it to.

Isn't there a second book in the works?

Congratulations on the success of your book! I'm not surprised, I just finished reading it yesterday and enjoyed it immensely. I had ordered it along with Unfit for Command from Amazon (in order to qualify for free shipping). I read your book first and highly recommend it. Anyone interested can see some fine reviews over at Amazon.com.

Congratulations!

BTW, don't be surprised to see major publishers sniffing around. You have one thing that many of their authors do not have: an audience.

I loved this book. I saw it advertised in Small Arms Review and bought it. It was great. My wife is now reading it and she is loving it too.

BUMP for an excellent novel, and it's author, a true patriot.

By the way, you get up into about the 8-10k copies sold and some major players in New York publishing will become very interested in you. My own publisher, Penguin, is starting a conservative imprint called Sentinel, though I don't know if they'll handle fiction at this point. You might want to get in touch with them.
