Nah. In Japan, violent crime is extremely rare. This was unheard of in a country that prides itself on safe streets and unlocked homes.

I spent six years on Okinawa, 96-02. There is more violent crime than you think. THEIR press just covers it up better.

Ancient history ...Murder / crime rate through the roof ...We live in the boonies of Kumamoto and I won't leave the doors unlocked ...
