Phase 2:NY FReepers go to CBS HQ and protest
FReeplancer

I will pay for the gas for a few PReepers to go to the city and protest CBS. I thing that would get on more than a few news outlets, and be very embarrassing to Old Media in general. Of course, the main objective is to "bring about change" and not to simply rub old Dan raw.

Contact firebrand. She is in charge of the FR NYC chapter. I think she will be interested.

I think all the freepers--males included--should show up in regular street clothes but with "fake breasts". The tight t-shirts could say that famous Seinfeld line, "They're real, and they're glorious!"

Everyone wearing pajamas would surely get on the news.

Have you considered contacting the Protest Warriors. I still have to laugh when I recall them showing up with their "Don't trust the media" signs on the Today show.

Here's a suggested sign ...

DAN RATHER IS THE JOURNALISTIC EQUIVALENT OF A PEDOPHILIC PRIEST & CBS IS SUPRESSING THE EVIDENCE.

That is a terrible idea.

How about just demanding the truth. Demanding objectivity and not advocacy.

Wow! Are you sure? It's a long drive from Tulsa!

;-)

Seriesly, I'd love to see the Protest Warriors doing something like this!

Allright, I meant NY FReepers, but I will pay for gas from Tulsa if you ride your bike. Maybe Al Gore can give someone a ride, so that they get there faster.

my email to CBS today compared Dan to Baghdad Bob. I told them that although they had obviously decided not to respond to emails and phone calls, their advertisers were.

I encourage everyone to start their day with a quick email to CBSNews (knowing it will be disregarded), reminding them that we are the customers the advertisers are targeting, and that Baghdad Dan is not going to get away with it.

Also, tell them about the letters to the editors you may write, and how big your email address book is. Even if you don't do any of these things, the threats may make them think.
