I hear so many good things about Reese. What's up with this? Got an e-mail from a friend wanting my opinion on Reese's column from May - I think she's questioning the validity of her Bush vote. Anyone? Did a search on this but didn't find this column.

Reese is a complete idiot who can't string together a logical thought to save his life.

Bush has the most dangerously simplistic view of the world of any president in my memory.People said that about Reagan. But it has been shown time and again that if you confront evil, it eventually falls.

Reese lost his mind years ago. I second that motion...

Love Charley, but I think he needs to change his meds.

When people start sound like the left they've been sucked into the vortex even if they aren't leftists.

Yes W is very simple minded: He thinks this way, "You aim to hurt Americans and I'll kill you". Maybe if that moron carter thought as simplely we wouldn't be is as tight a situation as we are today.

Americans should realize that if they vote for President Bush's re-election, they are really voting for the architects of war As opposed to voting for the architects of APPEASEMENT and COWARDICE! As far as Bush's view being "simplistic", how complicated does understanding EVIL have to be and our need to destroy it?

I will swallow a lot of petty policy differences with KerryPetty policy differences? As bad as Bush is in terms of big government, he pales in comparison to Kerry. Obviously, Reese believe that a national health care system is just a "petty" issue. What a loon.

to get a man in the White House with brains enough not to blow up the world and us with it."All we have to fear is fear itself". Charlie Reese seems to be out of his mind with fear. The very policies that Kerry has supported has led to the rise of people who have and will continue to obtain weapons that will "blow up the world".

OH Pleeease!
What an arrogant clymer! I guess that goes without saying since ARROGANT and LIBERAL are synonyms.
Try this bit for example. Don't you feel like an uneducated stupid moron for not seeing the world nuanced as he does???
...John Kerry is at least an educated man, well-read, who knows how to think and who knows that the world is a great deal more complex than Bush's comic-book world of American heroes and foreign evildoers. It's unfortunate that in our poorly educated country, Kerry's very intelligence and refusal to adopt simplistic slogans might doom his presidential election efforts... YEAH RIGHT. THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT DOOMED HIS EFFORTS. THAT AND THE FACTS THAT IS A .....LIBERAL... But you know, You can't fix stupid.

I too have enjoyed Charley Reese on many occasions but have noticed that he is very anti-Israel and no doubt a believer in the neo-con conspiracy theory of the Iraq war.
To: Paved Paradise
Charley Reese is a pseudointellectual.
He thinks that he thinks deep thoughts about history and political philosophy.
All pseudointellectuals are eventually drawn to the left side of the spectrum.

Pales beside Kerry? Bush's terrible big government record (increasingly forgiven and forgotten here as the election approaches) certainly doesn't pale beside Clinton. Dubya has increased domestic spending in his four years far faster than Clinton did in eight.
The choice between Bushkerry is a non choice, no matter how Rush, Hannity, and Boortz, try to spin it as the "election of the century."

"they are really voting for the architects of war"
Well...yeah...you sort of need war guys around you when YOU'VE BEEN ATTACKED! "Simplistic" is European code for "American." And Kerry is very, very European.
Charley Reese...you're name should be Charley Cheese.
To: Paved Paradise
The deal is that Reese is a simpleton and also has a bee in his bonnet about Israel. He writes his articles in such nice short sentences however; I think this is how he got the reputation for being a "clear-headed thinker".
To: Rippin
When people start sound like the left they've been sucked into the vortex even if they aren't leftists. The situation is even more interesting than that. How is it that it became so easy for guys like Reese & Buchanan to "sound like the left"?
Because the left doesn't actually act like the left anymore. A true left would be all in favor of toppling dictators. I don't know what our ex-left has become but if the convergence with Buchanan is any indication, it ain't pretty.

Chuck farley reese!!!

Reese is a huge Anti-semite...ala. Pat Buchanan. He has great antipathy toward Israel.
