I'm listening to the Hugh Hewitt radio show and he just interviewed Congressman Cox of California who raised the very real prospect of a Congressional Hearing concerning "Forgery Gate". Chris Cox stated that, although it is likely there could be a Congressional Hearing, it is unlikely that it would occur until after the election.....unless there is a large outcry from the public demanding such a hearing immediately.
Hugh Hewitt is calling on people to call your Congressman and demand a Congressional Hearing next week. If enough voices are heard, it will happen. He also suggests calling Congressman Joe Barton of Texas, Chairman of the Committee on Energy and Commerce, as well as other members of the Committee.
Go to Hugh's site via the link provided and scroll down just a little ways until you see "Call Congress via its switchboard at 202-225-3121 and ask for any member of this subcommittee with jurisdiction over the broadcast industry. Links and further information are provided on Hugh's site.
I just checked Hewitt's site and he said that Cox sent a letter to Upton (head of the broadcasting sub-committee) for hearings NEXT week! I think this is going to be a HUGE mistake. If this happens, I will be embarrassed to be a Republican. Why do we have to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory?
Dan/CBS's ship is sinking, don't throw them a lifejacket!
This is the Kobayshi Maru for us if we demand congressional hearing and Capt. Kirk isn't our President. I for one do not want a political group that is going to be halve made of Rats to investigate what the truth is. Well get a Clintonista definition of is again. The Rats are spinning in a spiral dive with Kerry piloting. Let it go. They are in self destruct mode. The sharks are in a feeding frenzy and can smell blood everywhere in the water. LET THEM EAT THERE OWN!!!
Amen to that. John Ashcroft's department needs to act on this, not the bloviators in the congress............
