bump
Strong didn't comment on that by accident. It's clear Burkitt is being set up as the fall guy here.
WHOA!
The WP already has the story.
Mr. CBS is drowning.
Bump
Give it up Billy. You're busted.
And your lawyer...David Van Os...who is a democratic candidate for the Texas Supreme Court....well...its only a matter of time before they figure out you two coordinated with the Democratic party.
And that will down two guys running for office.
In a related development, White House press secretary Scott McClellan hinted that more documents regarding Bush's National Guard service may soon be released. Asked whether officials in the White House have seen unreleased documents, McClellan called that "a very real possibility." Other officials with knowledge of the situation said more documents had indeed been uncovered and would be released in the coming days. Now THERE's a teaser final paragraph!
Damnit! you beat me on the post L0L
burkett is sweating about now
It appears this might even implicate USA Today because they too refuse to disclose who their source was. Maybe they can get a person at the Kinkos from where this "memo" was faxed. He wouldn't be obliged to keep silent, unless, of course he was a "Fairy Kerry" supporter.

~10:41pm~ EST JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH ABILENE KINKOS: Bill Burkett has a standing account with the Kinkos in Abilene Texas,
and while the lady who answered the phone would not be more specific she did say Burkett was in there last week - she waited on him on last (a week ago) Tuesday....

Most Kinkos I have seen have computers and printers right in there for customer use...
Think maybe he fabricated them right there on the spot, printed them... copied them a few times, then faxed them?
Is there any way we can get those computers impounded? A careful examination of the hard drives might result in some interesting clues.
Yep...Friends of CBS bailing them out with a fall guy. Just how did they "trace it"???
PING
Guess who showed up at a Abilene Kinkos?
David VanOs can be far behind in this little scam.
So Dan Rather actually believed that Bill Burkette found these documents in the trash can back in 1997 and have been saving them for 7 years? He's not that dumb is he?
The noose tightens. And the Washington Post is right down in the trenches with the pajama journalists. Who'd a thunk it?
Ping!
They've buried the story on A6! Shouldn't this be frontpage ABOVE the fold?
