I agree, but apparently the Limeys are there. They just might get their knickers in a bunch if we 'dropped in for tea' (you never know). Most folks take a dim view of someone 'watering' their shrubbery if there is no prior consent.

I'm sure something could be coordinated in the spirit of 'multinational cooperation' if the pols wanted to.

We just may need our military in Louisiana, Mississippi, or Alabama, if things go badly here...

We're only talking about a company of MPs, for a week. A rapid mobilization drill. I know they're already strapped, just designate a guard unit which is scheduled to rotate to Iraq. A couple of transport planes, that's it. One week, to reestabish law and order, until we can ferry in constables from other islands.
