DATELINE: Southern California
Sept. 17, 2004
In a Southern California elementary school, a brave conservative teacher proudly displays a children's book that pokes fun at DemocRATic presidential candidate John Kerry.
The book is A CHILD'S EYE VIEW OF JOHN KERRY, which is available on ebay and at www.dougiesbooks.com. Written in the format of an illustrated children's book, A CHILD'S EYE VIEW OF JOHN KERRY mocks the senator mercilessly and shows him for the phony that he is.
The teacher and school will remain anonymous so that his job is not jeopardized. Parents found it "interesting" a few weeks ago when they saw it at BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT.
The teacher is in enemy territory at his school, but he will not back down from the "tolerant liberals." He enjoys showing the book to his colleagues, who are not usually very amused. Not surprisingly, the librarian would not put the book in the school library.
Last week, WASHINGTON TIMES reporter John McCaslin gave the book a thumbs up in his column.
Okay, boys and girls, this week we are adding a special word to our spelling list. Who can tell me what a gigolo is?
Ping
Did you have a hand in this Dougie? ;^)
MARVELOUS AND MAGINIFCENT, Doug!
Gee, that unknown author...
Remember the days when children were left out of this kind of junk? Remember the days when children didn't need to know about sex at the age of 5? Can't we just get back there and let kids be kids?
Love it!...Hugs to "little Dougie"...;)
This is great.
The teacher ordered the books and sent me pictures.
This is called a little bit of equal time. The book is cute. Trust me.
Amen! Children have NO BUSINESS being made into political pawns by (supposed) adults.
BTTT
Oh, stop it. The book is cute.
If the little brat can speak at the RAT convention and put the VP into timeout, Dougie's book can be seen in a classroom.
Maybe so.... I don't dispute the "cuteness" of it.
Cool! Now we have a picture of you.
Just as long as there isn't that children's book about Doggy Poo or the two gay kings who made a family.
Hope the teacher doesn't get into trouble....he's a brave soul doing this in CA, that's for sure!
What little brat???
(I confess I couldn't stomach the Rat Convention; so I didn't watch...)
This is called a little bit of equal time. The book is cute. Trust me.
I trust you, Doug. Every time you come up here to WA, I seem to miss it. Look forward to meeting you one day. I just wish we could leave kids out of the political thing completely, that's all.
