Some Republicans, angered by what they call "stonewalling" by CBS anchor Dan Rather of documents relating to President Bush's National Guard record, are objecting to the participation of CBS in the presidential debates between Mr. Bush and John Kerry.
"It's not appropriate for any employee of CBS to moderate or participate in the debates as long as CBS continues to be an actor on side in the 2004 presidential campaign," said Grover Norquist, chairman of Americans for Tax Reform.

HA! The palace walls have been breached, the camel's nose is under the tent, AND THE LIBERAL MEDIA (starting with Cbs) HAS BEEN EXPOSED AS THE PHONIES THEY ARE TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!
ALERT: If you agree that under the circumstances Bob Schieffer should be replaced as the moderator for the October 13 presidential debate with someone from an organization that is a little more fair and balanced, not to mention reputable, Heres the contact information for the Commission on Presidential Debates:

CBS should be nowhere near these debates, in fact they shouldn't even be spewing their propaganda every night! And '60 Minutes' is a joke!
Brit Hume and Brian Lamb would be good.
Does anyone have the email adress for contacting The Commission On Presidential Debates? I want to argue with them a bit.
Damn that was fast!
I agree. CBS should not be allowed anywhere near the President. I don't care if Dan Rather and the rest of the psychos from CBS get strip-searched and assigned two Secret Service agents each, they should not be allowed within 500 yards of the President. It's a national security issue.
Thanks, but where is Robin Rather?
bttt
Please let her know what you think:

added her in. thanks.
Thanks for the contact info I just (respectfully) contributed my opinion on this to Ms. Brown. There is just no way, in good conscience, that CBS should be permitted to have any active roll in the debates.
The text of my email:
Due to the recent unpleasantness concerning the credibility of CBS and Dan Rather, it seems a bit odd to have a CBS-sponsored moderator for the Presidential debate. Please consider replacing Bob Schieffer with someone from a more credible news agency, such as Brit Hume from FoxNews.
Thank you for your consideration.
This is getting really good. With enough pressure, maybe the moderators for the debate could include JimRob.
Now would be a good time for a cable news outlet to grab Bob Schieffer away from doomed CBS News. Bob's no conservative, but he's old school - relatively fair.
I agree with your two choices for moderators !
I cannot understand why/how Brian Lamb was overlooked. He has to be the most apolitical interviewer on television. Seems he would have been the first man chosen.
And of course Brit Hume is simply the best. . . so he will be selected only over Vernon Jordon's dead body.
