A scattering of applause when he said something good... but John Kerry is a study when it comes to trying to say the right things for every audience.

Now that I think of it, there was hardly any applause... he's probably chewing out an aide or two for not getting the speech right.

Kerry went over like a lead balloon with this crowd. They don't want to hear his message - period.

Now that you mention that - he made a statement about the President "Gilding" over things - said it twice in a row and I have read this twice and I just don't see that line in here!

What's up with that!

Oh, and who says gilding anyway - I don't even have anything Gilded! No gold leaf either!
Did anyone else hear that?
