Woman Reportedly Shocked 80 Times
AKRON, Ohio -- Police in Summit County are holding a Northfield man on charges that he shocked his estranged wife with a stun gun 80 times, NewsChannel5 reported.
According to a police report, Mark Burton broke into Sonya Burtons home and waiting on her. He was wearing latex gloves, and holding a stun gun and duct tape.
After the attack, police said Burton took his wife to a relatives home in Lake County.
That relative called police and Burton was arrested.
Before the incident, Sonya Burton had filed a protection order against him.
A wacko. Bad court judgement?
Anyway, 80 pulses is inversely proportional to effect. Our nervous system adapts extremely quickly to electric shocks. For example, to see if a lighting fixture is working, I will stick my thumb in it. Done it for years. Just a local buzzing in my thumb, if it works. It took 2 times to get used to it. High amplitude pulses may take 4 or 5 before our brain gets trained for them. After a couple, our bodies see them as expected irritations.
I've done 220V in Europe too!
440 AC I won't do:):) I've been shocked by 5000 DC and looked to see if anyone saw me being stupid:)
I'm glad people like you are NOT on this man's jury. Maybe you should of inquired as to why this man "snapped." Maybe you would of found out that his wife was having a threesome (she is a public employee) with a man ten years younger than her and a temp. female employee she had just hired. And by the way if you check the police report she was stunned only ten times or so. Channel 5 incorrectly posted 80 times in the paper and had to print a retraction. When he found out about the threesome he was thrown out of his own home by the Summit County Sheriff and that is how the restraining order was put on him. If I was on the jury I would vote to lock her up for having the affair in their own home. Isn't anything sacred anymore???????
That's not really how you're supposed to give a woman the shocker.
If she was having a threesome, you beat the hell out of the other guy and then kick her to the curb afterward.

Re: Isn't anything sacred anymore?
It all depends on which cow is sacred.
Since none were harmed in this instance...
Nothing was sacred...
However if the gentleman in question had been stopped
with latex gloves, a stune gun and a bottle of Nyquil,
all bets would be off.
You won't be on it either. Neener.
And by the way if you check the police report she was stunned only ten times or so.
Oh. Well, alrighty then. He only knocked her unconcious ten times. What a prince.
If I was on the jury I would vote to lock her up for having the affair in their own home.
Yes, that's much worse and even way more illegal than assault and kidnapping. And jurors can just arbitrarily decide to punish people other than the defendant. (snort)
Isn't anything sacred anymore???????
No. Not even the spelling of the word "have" is sacred anymore.
Great Googly Moogly, this thread is from September!
I'm slipping.
I'm slipping.
Heh, heh, heh....I caught on and didn't reply because newbies that immediately go dumpster diving for threads from way back are usually not the type I care to associate with.
