I have a Nixon mask and sign that says,

Dan,
Deny, Deny,Deny
Nixon

LOL!

Other possibilities...

    "IT'S THE COVER-UP, DAN"

"TWISTING SLOWLY, SLOWLY IN THE WIND."

"DAN, MARY, ANDREW -- THE - RATHERGATE - PLUMBERS"

"FAKE BUT ACCURATE" - DAN'S LIMITED MODIFIED HANGOUT

Rather, above all others, should appreciate such slogans.

A bit more obscure...
    "DAN'S 18-1/2 MINUTE PAP"

Well, you have a point, OHelix.

But the idea is to get the media there to film it, get sound bites from protestors, and show it for 6 or 7 seconds on the national network news. If you don't give the media a show, they won't come.

Yeah... And I know I'm peeing on the parade, some... sorry... But I felt it was something to consider. We want the media there, but we don't want to look like a bunch of clowns, either. I expect most, if not all, of you have a better perception of what's "too much" verses what's "not too much" than I do. I just wanted to make sure you didn't forget to use that superior perception. :o)

Well, you're right. We should always consider where the limits should be. And crossing too far over the line is not a good idea. The protests I've participated in, and some that I've organized, have featured costumes, colors, pantomime, props, slogans, jingles, chants, etc. The media guys love this kind of thing and so do their viewers. It grabs attention so that your message can be seen and your sound bite heard. This is the age of special effects and short attention spans. It's not like it was when people would stand for 4 hours to hear Lincoln debate Douglas.

This may sound odd, but I would trust your judgement over my own in this regard. It sounds like you know what you're doing. Anything I have to add is purely hypothetical and not based on experience. :o)

Great! A PJ Party already.

'Dan, somebody's having a party out front. Take a look!'
'What are they wearing?'
'Pajamas!'
'Thank God it's not neckties.'

I've seen those pictures. Makes you appreciate our folks in uniform, especially when you see what the 9 - 11 in the last picture is made up of.

Actually, I think the PJ idea and the Sandy Burglar bit that Kristinn did a short while ago, are clever and funny.

But I think the masks and costumes were overly used in the past and are fodder for the left to make us look like loonies, whether or not the protestors actually get on camera and thus, the point you raise is a good one.

We had 2,313 signups.

The old record was the week of week of 3-17-2003, when we had 1,972 new signups (if my Excel spreadsheet tallied them all up correctly):
