I wish I'd saved the link to it- there was some danged story a couple of days ago about how PJ's were becoming the new leisurewear. Sounds awful to me, but then, I'm sitting around in jeans and a tanktop today.

I’m one of those people who use athletic wear as leisure wear – sweats are standard attire around home and make great sleepwear in the winter.

Blogged Down: Campaign Finance Reform [Congress rejects free speech to crush bloggers]
-- it was only a matter of time. After all, if Government can pick and choose how it wants to limit our 2nd amendment rights, why not limit our first, fourth, and fifth amendment rights as well.

Pajama-Clad Revolutionaries: Bloggers get organized

Psst. I have it on good authority that the lizardoid alien from planet Aidemydni who runs this site has left his secret nitrogen-filled chamber underneath Denver International Airport (a very rare occurrence) and is currently fending off hordes of crazed bloggers, somewhere on the east coast. This droid has been told that clues may be found here.

It's all the same war. To fight the global spread of radical Islam, the FIRST step we need to take is to regain control of the public discourse, so that the harsh truth can be presented to the populace, and not hidden as the MSM currently does. And once the public sees the harsh truth, it will strongly affect voting patterns, changing government policies. Which will lead to better strategies against radical Islam.  For all you people that are curious/fearful about OSM (or wonder what Charles looks like or what he does there, start here (credit where credit is due), follow the link,

FEC Rules Bloggers Are Journalists -- Well, there goes the leftist chance to regulate and shut down web bloggers. They wanted so bad to shut up Americans, so that the bloggers could no longer catch the left lying, and manufacturing documents, witnesses and stories...

Media "Shield" Won't Protect Bloggers [Free Republic mentioned] -- Repeal McCain Feingold. Repeal all restrictions on free speech. Abolish the FEC. Restore the first amendment. Restore freedom. If not, refer to the second amendment. Stock up on ammo.
There are numerous examples of first-hand news gathering threads here.
One, two, and three are just a few from searching for "FR Exclusive" in the archives.

Newspapers dying? Who'll miss them? -- I'll miss them. I love reading a good paper. But they lately have become nothing but hounds trying to sell gossip. No true reporters anymore, just spin...

"Former ABC News reporter/anchor Sam Donaldson is ready to say the last rites for network news because it will soon lose its dominant position as Americans' primary source of news. 'I think it's dead. Sorry,' he said during a breakfast panel Tuesday at the National Association of Broadcasters' convention in Las Vegas." -- Bill McConnell, Broadcasting & Cable, 4/18/2005
"Print is dead... Get over it."-- John Squires, President, Sports Illustrated, Nov. 2004 quoted in the Washington Post 2-20-2005
"...the notion of a neutral, non-partisan mainstream press was, to me at least, worth holding onto.   Now it's pretty much dead, at least as the public sees things." -- Howard Fineman, "The 'Media Party' is over" MSNBC, 1-11-05
"...the mainstream media's monopoly on information is over." --Peggy Noonan, WSJ, Jan. 13, 2005
"Sept. 9, 2004, will be remembered as a paradigm-shifting day in media history. That was the day the 'blogosphere' took down CBS News" -- James Pinkerton, Newsday, Sept. 14, 2004
"The New York Times’ account of the [CNN chief] Eason Jordan resignation provides a general recap of the story they didn’t cover, along with a good dose of excuses and justifications ..." -- Lorie Byrd, Polipundit, 2-12-2005
"The New York Times, CBS and the BBC all had to fire lead personnel over the fact that they just damn well made stuff up out of whole cloth in service to an obviously partisan political agenda."-- New Sisyphus, 3-15-05
"The media can now wistfully reflect on their glory days of the 1970's when the majority of people actually bought into their bullshit."-- Laura K. Van Onymous
"Newspapers do have a few things going for them....you can't line the bird cage with the Internet or wrap fish in a cable news channel." -- Neal Boortz
