The battle-cry today is, "NO DEPENDANCY ON FORIEGN OIL!"
Uh, better catch-phrase is, "Keep my pension fund out of companies linked to state sponsors of terrorism!"

You can find more of Gertz's work here:

There's a great picture of Rumsfeld paging through "Treachery", as well as samples from the book that go quite a bit farther than the above article.
Someone tell me how to post a picture.

Yes, Comrade Putin is our allie. The weapons he illegally sold to Iraq are still being used to kill out troops. He gave North Korean missle technology that he insisted are "...for the peaceful exploration of space,", and he helped Iran, who is currently threatening an attack on the U.S., to build their reactor and nuclear capability.

Someone tell me how to post a picture." Here's an example. Do it just like the following, but replace the URL address with the one to the picture you want to post.

Yes! I'd almost forgotten about the Ayatollah's (or his General's) recent threat to attack our military in Iraq. ...should try to find that story again and put the link on the list.

I'm curious, as an Englishman, about how you all felt about the donations that flooded in from the USA to support Irish terrorism in Britain for many years? Was there a general public support for those terrorists, or was it a case of just a small minority donating the large sums that paid for terrorist activity?
To: frenna freem
I don't know much on the subject. I would wager, as you said, a case of just a small minority. Blame it on the Irish.

Some who pretended to be our friends did later betray us and our allies. Domestic criminals often blame the people they victimize for trusting them in similar situations.
And some who rejoice in popular revolutions for Ayatollahs in their own countries are later sorry that they were brainwashed into supporting the despots.

It involved donations from people who were enticed into Irish/Catholic identity affiliations--often people who were already involved in organized crime. When they are caught and convicted, they go to prison.

I got a little confused with this one. He starts with arms, their suppliers, then goes to investers and the ends with drugs in Afghanistan. Phew! Seems like there should be more to wrap it all together.
To: frenna freem
There was no public support across the U. S. although there probably was some public support in a very few Northern city enclaves of Irish residents.
It was a case of a very small number of people supporting the IRA.
