If they aren't original un-retouched papers, NO ONE will believe them now.
If they think they can put out a bunch of photocopied documents now, they ARE fools.
Even if they are, why should we believe anything See BS puts out? As far as I know, after this recent fiasco with the phony documents they've already released, they've hired professional forgerers to get old paper, type stuff out on a TANG typewriter from 1972, and have the wording reviewed for accuracy by a then member of the TANG.
Once I'm lied to, I have a really hard time believing anything the liar says again. Sorry, See BS, you had your chance and you blew it. Go away, no one will believe a word you say.
The fake but accurate story is a crock. But this next set has to be intended to be used after the Whitehouse issued some sort of denial which never came because FReepers climbed all over this before that next step could occur. I have thought of this as a machine where the wheels are coming off.. but they keep pouring the power to it.
Kind of reminds me of the scene in the Battle of the Bulge where the German General is trying to drive his tank up the hill to capture the fuel dump as barrels of gasoline roll down the hill toward him. With music blaring and all.
Just think of what it would be like if these were competent forgeries? or at least seemingly? What if they did produce documents that seemed authentic now? We have to come up with a list of 60 problems to be taken seriously. What if the next time there are only one or two? It sucks when you can't trust the news.
Will not matter if they are written on stone tablets. The damage is done. See-BS! is run by fools.
They could have said "Whoops! Thank you for bringing that to our attention. We will have all documents more throughly vetted in the future." Then when they came out with new documents they could say, "Check them out all you want, these are real. We made sure of it." The implication would be that they had learned from their mistakes. There would be some damage but not much. But after the way they handled it the first time no one will believe them now.
