RNC RESPONDS: "Bill Burkett, Democrat activist and Kerry campaign supporter, passes information to the DNC; Kerry campaign surrogate Max Cleland discusses "valuable" information with Bill Burkett; Bill Burkett talks to "senior" Kerry campaign officials; an apparently unsuspecting news organization uses faked forged memos and an interview with Ben Barnes at the same time the Democratic National Committee launched Operation Fortunate Son; and Kerry campaign manager Mary Beth Cahill was among the first to call Ben Barnes and congratulate him after his interview. The trail of connections is becoming increasingly clear," RNC communications director Jim Dyke says in a paper statement.
Maybe the RNC will push this issue and we can get to the top. I don't like this Burkett for fall guy Idea the DNC and MSM is pushing. We know it goes alot higher than one mentally disturbed guy in Texas.
My gut feeling is that there is that the RNC have a far better hand than what they are showing. If they are letting out they suspect a connection to the DNC they must have a lot of real proof or the MSM would rip them to shreds.
What surprises me is that ABC even reported this.
Puttting it all on Burkett would be like stopping at the Cubans in the Watergate story.
Is this referring to See B.S. ???
"If the President was truly proud of his service he wouldn't be releasing these documents on a Friday night. These documents demonstrate yet again that George Bush was a fortunate son," DNC Chairman Terry McAuliffe says in paper statement...
Uh, Terry, what part of "stop digging" don't you understand?
Bump!
Sounds like he's giving them an out. We was fooooled, but here's the dirty dog who did it to us...
I knew the DimplecRATs had their dirty hands all over Rathergate. Only they could pull such a stupid and devious stunt.
The point that hasn't been voiced, though, but needs to, is that Kerry, as the candidate of their party, had to have given his assent to those "senior campaign advisors", to use this manure. (Who would be more familiar with documents that "bear false witness"? After all, he's gotten away with it for over 30 years.)
That means, though he likely isn't the source of these forged documents, it is quite obvious that his fingerprints (and the junk underneath those digustingly long nails) are all over this attempt to smear the President, falsify military documents, dupe the country, and affect the Presidential election to his benefit.
Someone needs to point this out, so that those who are a little slow at putting 2 and 2 together can "get it" too.
It's nice to see that the RNC isn't taking this scam lying down.
The AWB Has Expired - Gun Owners Have Won Again For All Americans!
We need a New York Times-style shadowy Texas connections diagram on this

Abilene, TX / September 18, 2004 - Smoking gun? Surveillance tape supplied by a reputable source may finally and accurately answers questions surrounding journalist stonewalling over his recent forged document controversy. |

There was nothing unsuspecting about CBS and Dan Rather.
Cleland gave up Burkett because he was afraid that in an official investigation, their Texas conversation would be discovered.
It's interesting that Cleland also gave up the DNC.
Sounds like Cleland is worried and is trying to create some plausible deniability.
He was just an innocent go between.
The buck does not stop with Burkett and Cleland knows it.
And so does CBS and Dan Rather.
What gets me is Terry McAwful instantly conceding the documents were fake and trying to pin it on Carl Rove. That was a little too quick and he seemed too eager to deny that the DNC had anything to do with it.
And on top of that; this will in no way stop PRESIDENT BUSH from being re-elected!!!
