"I don't like people mad at me, and I was not trying to agitate them"FR is a great place to get toughened up. We are at war for our way of life, and we're ALL on the front lines. I'm not a confrontational person either, but neither can I stand idly by while the sociocommiecRATs try to run roughshod over the Constitution and take away our children's birthright.

"I found someone's got a page, under construction, called Free Republic.org....in case Jim's interested." I'm not very computer savvy, but with the new spike in our popularity, and knowing the venomous contempt that lefties have for this site, I wouldn't put some kind of hack attack past them....trying to reroute traffic to some Bush hate fest. It's a good idea to alert Jim. It may be nothing, but better not to take any chances.

True, very true, and this fight for our lives is why I am getting more and more involved. It's just so bizarre to me - I am a conservative Independent, and try to listen to varying opinions (occasionally, when I can stomach it:). I don't attack the Kerry people when they try to give me campaign buttons; I just smile and say "no, thank you". I force myself to read the articles my lib-leaning friends send me. However, even though I've been polite to them, the libs I've talked to in the last week don't even want to listen to any facts or questions and immediately start accusing me of horrible things. Gulp.

Well, you certainly picked a good screen name for FR. Welcome.
"Can I wear my Victoria Secret pajamas"
Well, you can, but don't be surprised if some of our frisky male FReepers start demanding pictures.

"I'm still wondering why I can't get it to show more than 50 posts at a time." ...and only 20 on the ping page. I've been whining about that for the past month. It improved for awhile, then reverted. It is frustrating. I hope that new shipment of squirrels gets in soon! This is not good with all the new traffic.

See what I mean....and there are probably more already.

"the libs I've talked to in the last week don't even want to listen to any facts or questions and immediately start accusing me of horrible things" That's their MO. It will get worse as the election gets closer, too. It's because they don't have anything else. They can't back up their positions with facts, so they resort to attacks.

I am sure the entire DNC is in the process of joining to monitor their own screw-ups... This probably accounts for a large %age of the newbies....So we have to be vigilant at the same time rejoiceful.

I would imagine the reverse to be true. It would be TOO obvious if so many of their people came in toward the end of the election cycle. The idea behind being a sleeper agent is being in place LONG before the action is to begin, that way you have the cover of being a "veteran" and above suspicion.
I have seen the replies of some of those who joined outside of any specific event that if their enlistment date were close to any such event they would have been zotted.

Cool! More people to flummox with obscure moose and cheese references! Plus, maybe Laz will find a gal to marry him...
