BOOKMARKING.. this is an awsome recap. I was out of town with no Internet connection and missed the important stuff.... heard it unfold on talk radio and Fox news.

Thank you.
Booked for historic reference. I truly believe that what has happened with these documents, how and how quickly they were exposed will be taught in journalism classes long into the future. Interestingly enough, CBS seems to be inadvertently assuring the story will not go away soon.
And you are correct it was (is) Free Republic at its best.

Bump! Excellent work and you are right about all of us working together. And, luckily, you, Buckhead, and TankerKC were really "tuned in" and acute that night. If it was another night, it might have slipped passed you guys. But, we are, if nothing else, vigilent.
EAGLES UP!

Thanks for putting this together. It puts the lie to the theory that the deconstruction of the forgeries was the work of an "RNC operative".
The proportional fonts are the initial tip off, as anyone who used a typewriter before the era of word processing can instantly see.
Let them spin their paranoid fantasies, whether they really believe them or not. It brands them with the "mark of the tinfoil hat".
To: Howlin
I second that emotion! I have been bragging to people for a few years about FR...can't tell you how many times in the last week I have heard people say "So THAT'S Free Republic"!
Proud to be among you and gald y'all have my back....

Excellent. Bookmarking. Hat's off to you all.

And if I might add this: in my humble opinion, it was Free Republic at its best; I'm proud to be among you. I will second that! (but you know you are one of my heroettes! :-) )

You are terrific and so are your sentiments about the Free Republic. This forum is informative, entertaining and thought-provoking. As importantly, it is civic consciousness-raising in a way most of us had not experienced in such a rich way until the advent of the Free Republic.
Slowly but surely the Free Republic is causing people to stand up and take notice. With the passing of the MSM's stranglehold on shaping the national debate, we become a stronger, more accountable nation.
Thank you for your contributions.
