IMHO:
If President Bush has long coattails, which I think he will, then we should see a big pickup in both houses of Congress.
How will that help, you ask? Slim majorities can't get major issues and confirmations passed. Too much infighting.
With the GOP in full control of congress, the President will be able to get tough legislation and confirmations passed. He will also be under greater pressure to reign in out-of-control social programs and start downsizing.
At least I hope that will be the scenario. ;>)
So we can count on your vote for Bush/Cheney, RIGHT?
You and me both...Dubyuh's certainly gotta lead on the issue of devolving Power from the Federal Guv'ment, and I believe his "Ownership Society" initiative could be very helpful in that regard. I'm definitely planning on giving my own Congressman and Senators an earful regarding the GOP-controlled Congress and White House outspending the Clinton-RAT years of the early-90's!!

Well, Virginia's electoral votes will definitely go to Dubyuh, and I'm watching him closely to check fer more evidence that he realizes the need to rein in Federal spending (he mentioned it briefly in his Nomination Acceptance Speech). My problem with voting third-party is simply that Badnarik (Libertarian Party) and Peroutka (Constitution Party) are so damned CLUELESS when it comes to the War on Terrorism that it's embarrassing. That may be enough to force me to swallow my embarrassment and chagrin at the GOP's Spending Binge, but I haven't made a final decision just yet.
