Bob Shrum is either ignorant about the "real" JFKerry or he deceived himself into believing he could con this nation with a master fake.

All Shrum needed to do was take one look at the Brinkley book and realize he was perpetrating a fake "war" hero.

Now there was one huge RED flag in JFKerry's presentation of being a "war" hero and that was that citation presented with the Secretary of Navy Lehman's signature in 1986.

JFKerry was a sitting senator in 1986, and has yet to explain how it is he got his hands on that signature/autopen.

He figured that with most voters believing the country is on the "wrong track," all that Kerry had to do was establish his credibility as a potential commander in chief and he would win—hence the "bio" convention.

Of course, it's always struck me that questions on wrong track/right track have a lot of the same ambiguity as whether the war is being fought right or whether something changed your opinion of a candidate: It's perfectly possible to think the country is on the wrong track in many ways, while fervently believing Bush is at least trying to reverse it and Kerry would send it skittering further like the Gadarene swine!
