Hey folks, this isn't just Mapes... the whole of CBS is behind this... Mapes is simply the scape goat to save what rear-end CBS and Rather have left, which isn't enough to sit on the pot.
Dan Rather's intonation while telling the story, saying that their sources were unimpeachable, I believe was the word, tells you that he personally was vouching for the memos authenticity... No it aint just Mapes.

<<<<< "Look at his face at rest. It has deep dread and guilt written all over it! He's probably going to have to pay in the next life." >>>>>
The next time his last explanation to viewers is replayed on cable, do notice the white knuckles in the clenched hand--another telling reflection of the inescapable, venemous, and corrupt act he himself wrought!
For the remainder of his life, he'll not have a restful sleep. This well-deserved retribution I celebrate!

- intellectual immaturity is a major factor in liberal reasoning. The use of drugs arrests the development of intellect. These old hippies and younger drug users are in fact intellectually immature. They will never get over their collective disability.

Spend four years looking into Soros would be a great idea. But he is against Bush so that would never happen. He has to be around to help Hillary.

I'm sure she'll be penning a book soon. "I was abused by my right-winged Dad"I'm sure he could counter with: "My daughter's head-first fall made her a Liberal."

Christmas at the Mapes house this year might be a little tense. They could have the Barnes family as guest to make it real interesting.

Well, not so much so if she's in jail for fraudulent creation of Federal documents.

It's going to grow like Watergate. I followed that story very closely from James McCord putting the black tape on the door jam in the Watergate Hotel to Nixon's wave goodbye. Unlike Watergate, with the new tone there probably won't be any Congressional Hearings or criminal investigations. The best way to deal with this current scandal is to demolish the credibility of both the Democratic party and their media arm, the MSM.

This family will be roasting a cornish hen for thanksgiving. My daughter just last month got her first job in building construction in NYC. When she was being interviewed the company asked her why she had traveled a thousand miles to apply for a job with them.
She said she had googled all the construction firms in New York, and they were involved in the fewest lawsuits. She got the job.

I hope to spend this Christmas either getting my new home ready in DC or getting ready for my new job as a producer for 60 Minutes.

Pretty much says it all.

Don Mapes was in military service and served in China-Burma-India during World War II. He was called back into service during the Korean War.
Every year he plans and co-ordinates the Tri-city Veterans' Memorial Day Service in Middleburg heights, Ohio, where he lives with his wife.
Don't know if it's the same guy. Age should be about right though. Sentiment seems the same too.

Looks like a big one. It's going to grow just as long as they circle the wagons against scrutiny. The way things are going, that's going to be a long time; their hubris and hypocrisy is very deeply seated.

There are none so blind as those who are stupid.
If you don't think well, don't think to often.
I was sad I had no shoes, till I met someone who had no class.
All of the above seem to apply to Rather and his supporters.
