Dan Rather received the "60 Minutes treatment" when he was confronted by a local Dallas TV reporter.

I love it! This can't happen often enough. 60 Minutes has be so 'in-your-face' with people for years. Now you wonder if we have to go back and pick apart everything they have ever reported - if the past week is any indication, there is probably a large percentage of fiction in that tome of so-called 'journalism'.

YEP !!!! I agree !! That would really put Danny & seeBS in a "spot". If the word got out that "other seeBS stories" were starting to get a little more of a "look-see", that might make danny-boy (and maybe Viacom) start re-thinking their "Bush Docs" stand.

No. I was on their program once (a friendly Morely Safer report), many years ago, so I got to see some of it from the inside -- literally from inside their studios. This was a very complex, involved story and I was impressed with how the producer (Gail Eisen) got all the facts down straight. At one point in subsequent discussion, she corrected a "fact" I remembered. When I looked it up, darned if she wan't correct.

I have been saddened to see what "60 Minutes" has become since, and I no longer watch it. But they have done good work in the past.
