It was too easy because CBS and Rather thought we were too stupid to notice. It's their arrogance that brought them down.

As W says, they always "misunderestimate" him, and they do "misunderestimate" us, the American people.

How stupid can these people be?

I think Pat's right, but how in the hell are you going to take down a sitting President with the news that he didn't show up for a physical while in the NG?

Ok, let's see, on the one hand w/kerry you've got unreleased records, post-war activity that in previous times would have resulted in him being hung or hanged, however that goes. And on the other, you have a Guardsman who liked to party. Ok, social stallion on one hand, traitor on the other?

Again, how is that going to take down a sitting President? Arrogance is a beautiful thing though, it took down that filthy Hitler, what with his aversion to "Jewish" physics, and it took down CBS.

And the really scary part of this whole deal is that this type of activity is 100% USSR Prime. Republic, if we can keep it indeed!

Hermann, if that was his game plan, that's another reason to like him. :-)

"At the time of Watergate our neighbors who were in their late 70s made the comment to us.......The media is taking down the president of the United States."

I remember that moment as well, my late dad, said the same thing.

I'll be d*mned if I'll sit back, and watch them try it again.

"Buchanan is using the same terminology as Rush did on his show today; no outrage -- dog that didn't bark..."

I was thinking the very same thing when I heard him talking tonight. It's what Rush calls, "the Limbaugh echo chamber." :)

They can try to link Buchanan with G.W., but no love lost there and everyone knows it.

I don't mind Pat when he's rational. I think he was perhaps the best host during the Swift Vet breaking news that I watched. Pat had a stake in that story because they were attempting to link it to Nixon, same here.

It just depends which Pat is showing up for the day, seems the Pat people like is on now.

You're absolutely,100% correct! That "get Nixon at ANY cost" plan, was a looooooooooooooooooong time coming and Dan Rather had a HUGE hand in it.

For those who don't know,it began when Nixon ran against and beat Helen Gahagen Brown (Douglas, for the California Senate seat. She was a damned pinko and the Commies/pinkos/fellow travelers in California, never forgave Nixon for being an anti-Commie.

Great analogy by Pat. "If you're gonna take down a king, you gotta kill im. Going up there with forged documents is suicide." I'm paraphrasing.

Nice pic.

Kerry: "Ugh, why do I have to TOUCH them, can't they just make me Emperor without contact?"

(Actually, Kerry looks like the kind of guy who always washes his hands after touching anything his white-gloved servants haven't handled.)

It's not going to stop here; but I don't see how CBS can "investigate" Kerry's camp.

I often wondered how Kerry thought that he would escape major scrutiny in a Presidential campaign. I can only conclude that by playing the wounded Vietnam hero, he would get a pass. It has turned out, that Dean might have been a better choice for the Dems.

I remember when Nancy Reagan ordered new china--as in dishes--for the White House. Jackie Kennedy did the same (ordered several different sets as opposed to 1 new pattern) twenty years previous, but poor Mrs. Reagan was made out to be an extravagant ditz by the press.
