I know what you mean. I immediately start wondering what he has to gain by telling the truth. Then I put on my tin-foil hat and wonder if they want us to believe that to hide something even worse.
LOL!!!! My guess is, they are trying to shut the whole thing down and hoping it'll go away. Like Dan Blather, notice he finally fessed up, after everything else failed. My guess is they would have continued to perpetuate this lie if the public would have swallowed it.
