I would have not only stood for him, I would have fought back to back with him. Why were there any innocent by standers or witnesses. No one went to this man's defense. I'm sorry, but all HELL shold have broke loose. A wounded soldier on convalescence leave gets attacked an no one fights at his side. That is shameful. Hang you head Ohio and crawl under the porch.

... alleged attacker, who police said ran into the crowd after the incident and was not arrested. Something about this doesn't pass the smell test. An attacker who screams anti-military epithets while beating the crap out of a guy in a flag T-shirt, then simply "disappears" into a crowd at a Toby Keith concert? I've been to three Keith concerts, and any loud anti-military jerk trying to "hide" in our ranks would have been treated like a mouse trying to hide at a cat show.

So, it starts all over again....
I did not go to Viet Nam..women Marines were not sent there. I did spend 71 to 73 in Okinawa, however. And as a Viet ERA retired veteran, we too got some of the hate speach as we went through the airports. It didn't seem to matter then if one had actually been to Viet Nam or not, just wearing the uniform ( and we had to then when we flew if we had military rates) was all that was needed to be the recipient of the vitriol.
