QUESTION: IS IT MORALLY OK TO WRING THE NECK OF THESE IDIOT PROFESSORS?
While you will find the reverse of some of these questions on the site (for example, the last one is asked as if the policy is *good* for the environment, to compare with your response as it is listed here), I don't see any that frame questions from a perspective like:
"An environmental policy to chase down minor concentrations of certain contaminants in remote areas will cost the country billions of dollars over the next decade and not directly prevent any human deaths. Is it morally permissible to implement such a policy, even if it would mean less funding is available to prevent the deaths of many people who could be saved by medical advances or personal prosperity?"
This seems like a basic flaw in the research project's design, and it's interesting to consider how many people are faking results on the site and in the traditional studies to screw up the results for this "researcher." One good thing is that there are calls for an investigation into this center's activities. I hope they proceed.
