'Ridiculous' rumors
When 3-year-old Sophia Parlock's crying face became nationally famous Thursday, some Democrats charged that it was part of a hoax.
Photographs of a West Virginia campaign rally showed a man holding pieces of the crying girl's Bush-Cheney sign, after her father said Democrats had torn the sign apart. The man was wearing a T-shirt identifying himself as a member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT).
But on DemocraticUnderground.com and other Internet sites, some Democrats said that the man in the photo was actually the girl's older brother.
"Ridiculous," Sophia's father, Phil Parlock, said of the hoax rumors. Huntington, W.Va., photographer Randy Snyder — who took the photos on assignment from Associated Press — also said the man in the IUPAT shirt was not Mr. Parlock's son.
"The guy was cussing [Mr. Parlock]. ... I thought they were going to come to blows," said Mr. Snyder, who said he was familiar with the Parlock family from years of covering political events in the Huntington area.
State lawmaker Kelli Sobonya, a Republican from the same town as the Parlocks, who says she has known the family for years, said the man in the union shirt is "definitely not" Mr. Parlock's son...

Aww.. Gee, I wonder what the reaction over where democracy is thought to be something hidden underground is? Umm. Let me take a random guess: They're covering for the *'s again, the bastards! I hate how the media just covers up for them over and over again!

Someone get this to DUh to just add to the misery over there.

The hits just keep coming. Their comfortable make-believe fantasy is caving in around them.

[Phil Parlock as "Protest Warrior" - sign-ripping union thug NOT his son]

-- snip --

Some of the conspiracy/confusion about a Parlock "brother" in this picture stems from the fact that Sophie's 11-year-old big brother **is** in this picture, on the RIGHT...

...trying valiantly to find a way to protect his little sister from the union thugs.
Apparently, the DUmmies assumed that this meant that the union thug on the LEFT must also be one of the Parlock boys.

If this sign-ripping goon really WAS a "plant" - and NOT a union thug...

...you can be sure that we would have heard about it from the KerryRATs by now, IMHO.
Still, it would be nice to know the TRUE IDENTITY of this sign-ripping, three-year-old-girl attacking, Kerry/Edwards-supporting "girlie man" union thug - ASAP.

Another fact that roused Democrats' suspicion of Mr. Parlock was news reports that he had been roughed up under similar conditions at Democratic campaign events in 1996 and 2000.

"There is a consistency, in that I'm quiet, I have signs, I raise my signs, I get pummeled," Mr. Parlock told the Charleston (W.Va.) Gazette-Mail

Awesome comeback.

I don't know that Phil said anything about his oldest son being there, but I know his son, Phil II and that he was attending the rally as well, and the fellow in the IUPAT shirt is most definitely not Phil the younger. I didn't think that son was the oldest.

Phil said in an interview that two of his sons, the 11 year old and a 20 something one, don't remember the exact age, was there. No the guy in the T Shirt is not 11 if that's who you mean. I know he has at least 3 or maybe 4 sons that could be college age.

No, I meant Phil II, who is around 21, and in the same class as my wife at Marshall. The IUPAT guy was not Phil II, though I admit he slightly resembles one of Phil's other sons.

And, from powerlineblog.com:
...UPDATE: A number of lefty sites have gone ballistic over this post. Some point to news reports indicating that Mr. Parlock has been assaulted by Democrats, to one degree or another, in two prior elections. This, they suggest, means that he must be some kind of a fraud. To me, it sounds like an indictment of West Virginia Democrats, not Parlock.

The other tack that some lefties have taken is to say that no one should take a young child to a political event.

In other words, we Democrats are so vicious, so violent and so unpredictable that you should not bring young children to a public place if there is a danger that Democrats may be around.

An odd defense, in my opinion.

They got the name "underground" because that's where their voters are registered from and it's where their interns end up.

Yep, I remember reading through one of those insane, sick threads over at DUmmy land. The "kinder" posters among them were merely speculating on how that ugly assault simply *must have been* some kind of Karl Rove-inspired dirty trick; the usual filth that inhabits that intellectual cesspool were mocking the little girl's tears, or dismissing the terror she felt by making irrelevant references to wounded/injured children in Iraq.
All in all, it's a pretty loony bunch that roots around in that filthy, fevered online pigsty. And most of them seem quite proud of the scummy company they all keep on a daily basis. They're truly disgusting.

Democrats are so weird. Everything over there is a Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. Talk about paranoid kooks!

Here's one from yesterday. I was checking for suicides over the CBS meltdown, and read this beauty!......

<<< SH: Yeah, we are suing Bush, Condoleezza Rice, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Mueller, etc. for complicity in personally not only allowing 9/11 to happen but in ordering it. The hijackers we retained and we had a witness who is married to one of them. The hijackers were U.S. undercover agents. They were double agents, paid by the FBI and the CIA to spy on Arab groups in this country. They were controlled. Their landlord was an FBI informant in San Diego and other places. And this was a direct, covert operation ordered, personally ordered by George W. Bush. Personally ordered. We have incriminating evidence, documents as well as witnesses, to this effect. It's not just incompetence - in spite of the fact that he is incompetent. The fact is he personally ordered this, knew about it.

If you need to verify

The lies and twist of truth that they come up with just amazes me, where does a mind like that come from?

It is a kind of subconcious psychotic religion.

Liberals abhor the idea of judgment. They share a subconscious pact to perceive themselves in a flattering almost diety like way, and harshly condemn anyone who threatens this view.

Objectivity must never be applied to a Liberal's behavior. If you do this, then you must be wrong. The more persuasive your argument, the more threatened their psychosis becomes, and the more irrational they become in order to defend it.

Just got off the phone with Phil Parlock, who is amused by desperate liberal rumor-mongering that the man wearing an IUPAT t-shirt and holding a piece of his little girl's Bush/Cheney sign is his own son.

"That's ridiculous. This is a small town," Parlock told me from his home in Huntington, W. Virginia. "Everyone would recognize him."

Parlock and his daughter were surrounded by a group of about five or six nasty pro-Kerry folks, two or three of whom wore IUPAT shirts. He received a voice mail from the president of the IUPAT, whose apology (as noted below) is here. Am waiting for a call back from IUPAT president James Williams.

IUPAT members, by the way, were involved in a previous sign-tearing incident involving Parlock and his family, according to Parlock.

Meanwhile, Parlock's toddler is fine.

It's pathetic that lefty bloggers would smear Parlock and his children so quickly without bothering to check. Rathergate must be really getting to them...
