Rush made a mistake! There's a first time for everything.
If in fact he did, he will correct it and admit to it.
It won't take him 13 days to do so like SeeBS

I didn't hear the comments myself, but my sister heard them and mentioned it to me. Apparently he said something about MSFT contributing approximately $250k to the Kerry camp pain. The truth is MSFT employees have contributed that amount and they have contributed a similar amount to the Bush campaign. The people who run the company PAC are almost exclusive Repuplican. If you walk through that area of the comapny, you might think you entered Bush/Cheney HQ. The top 3 execs have ONLY contributed to the Bush capmpaign. These people aren't stupid. They remember quite vividly what happened under the Clinton administration.

HOW TO READ THIS CHART: This chart lists the top donors to this candidate during the 2004 election cycle. The organizations themselves did not donate, rather the money came from the organization's PAC, its individual members or employees or owners, and those individuals' immediate families. Organization totals include subsidiaries and affiliates. Because of contribution limits, organizations that bundle together many individual contributions are often among the top donors to presidential candidates. These contributions can come from the organization's members or employees (and their families). The organization may support one candidate, or hedge its bets by supporting multiple candidates. Groups with national networks of donors - like EMILY's List and Club for Growth - make for particularly big bundlers. Why (and How) We Use Donors Employer/Occupation Information METHODOLOGY NOTE: All the numbers on this page are for the 2004 election cycle and based on Federal Election Commission data released electronically on Monday, September 13, 2004. (Help! The numbers don't add up...") Feel free to distribute or cite this material, but please credit the Center for Responsive Politics. |

Broker is evidently a nice guy who is on the right side, but I don't understand the need for citations of error without the complete context of Rush's statements. We cannot judge "wrong" without the entire picture being presented.

I heard Rush go down the list yesterday and it appears to be the same list you posted. I think the US government part has something to do with matching funds.

Is this going to be a post and run? I await your clarification, but I have to leave for work. Why don't you call Rush today and tell him? I'll be listening. :o)

Ah, yes, the famous "sleeper account"!
That is the answer ~ now, is it the "correct answer" or just something we picked up on the street from Lucy Ramirez, John Kerry's major source?

Yes, two of them are. One is not, but knows what side his bread is buttered on.
Two of our top execs have planned and hosted two major fund raisers for the Bush campaign here in Seattle.

Re your tagline: "pajama pundits" is already passe? I was just getting to enjoy it - though my favorite is pajamahadeen.
To: Broker
If Rush is incorrect, this will be the very FIRST thing he talks about on todays show. Rush has NEVER been one to try and cover up an error he has made.
This is one of the pleasant distinctions between Rush and the REST of the major media (read: The New York Times, Washington Post, and lets not forget CBS!!!!). When it comes to corrections about the facts, RUSH puts them up front and center, for all to hear. Unlike papers that bury corrections in 4 point type at the bottom of page 32, or networks that simply stonewall and accuse others of lying!
Rush leads when the topic is clarity and truthfulness of information.

I don't think Rush was incorrect as much as he didn't have all the facts.
