Those of us who have listened to Rush for a long time know that Rush will sometimes throw his listeners a curve ball. This "erroneous" statement could be a "spoof" on the Rathergate story and Rush will see if his listeners are paying attention. If it turns out that Rush was mistaken, he will, as he has always done in the past, correct it with an apology. Rush has class. Rather does not.
