I think people are losing perspective and falling for the drama exactly as the scum expect them to. TWO OR THREE people get killed once in a while. The off camera combat deaths are just as gruesome, and often the victims suffer longer.
Yes, it is uncivilized to videotape a murder and joyfully broadcast it, but this serves only to explain why Falluja and other cesspools need to be flattened in the manner of Dresden.
I am no longer impressed with beheadings. The compassion for the victims and despising the perpetrators aside, I am sorry, but it's a death or two once in a while during a war, and when these events are greeted with a yawn rather than a scream, they will completely lose their shock value, and be of no further use.
