All you have to do is show up on time and you've won a new voter.
First daughters Jenna and Barbara Bush arrived at West Virginia University well on time for their 3 p.m. campaign stop Wednesday and for that, journalism student Liz Weber now knows who she's voting for in November.
"It's good to have the Bush girls here on time," said Weber, a registered independent. "It shows that they care more."
Weber was referring to the Sept. 2 visit by Alexandra Kerry and Cate Edwards, daughters of... John Kerry and running mate John Edwards. They showed up at the WVU Mountainlair nearly two hours late and left after a five-minute speech on the economy, health care and young voters.
The Bush twins spoke to a crowd of about 100 students in the Mountainlair Blue Ballroom for about 15 minutes. But the real catcher was that they stuck around for as much time signing autographs and taking pictures with students afterward.
Weber had been stuck on her choice in the battle between Kerry and President Bush, but said that the daughters' message also helped sway her vote.
"It was more upbeat," she said, "and they actually had a message in their speech. They seemed to have more fun."
The 22-year-old daughters arrived to chants of "Four more years" and a sea of dark blue Bush-Cheney signs.
..the Bush daughters tossed out a few one-liners and poked fun at their family.
They referred to their grandmother and former first lady Barbara Bush as "the Enforcer" and talked about how their grandfather, former president George Bush, watches TV.
"Grandpa yells at the TV screen when he sees unfair stories on the news," Jenna Bush said. "We tell him they can't tell what he's saying."

it doesn't hurt that they are a couple of real cuties!
Plus, let's face the Bush girls are just plain better looking than the Kerry girls!!! And better dressed.
Alexandra and Kate were living down to the example set by Bill Clinton, who was pathologically late for everything.
I think Barbara is cute. Jenna, is not my type. :-) But she isn't not cute. In fact, she probably is cute... but my bias toward brunettes is affecting my judgment and I should recuse myself from making stupid statements like this.
See my tag line. :-)
those of us that use AOL know their political agenda, and the night after the twins spoke at the convention they had an article on their so called "news" and all of use posted:
AOL tried for WEEKS to find an ugly picture of the twins to post with this article, but they couldnt...
it drove the Lib Kerry horse face girls lovers CRAZY
LOL!
Wonder if Alexandra showed up in her see through dress wearing no bra?
It must be a democrat thing. When in college, I went to speeches by then-president Ronald Reagan, jesse jackson, and then-candidate WC clinton. The latter two were more than an hour late, and I ended up leaving for something more important to do. Enjoyed RR, though.

"West Virginia's naturally a Democratic state," said Twigg...
What is natural about being a democrat?
"They're popular in the vein of Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie," said Scottie Smith...
Really? I've never gotten the impression the Bush twins were sluts.
And better dressed
Amen. In 2000 they were too young to campaign and it took the Bush folks forever to get Laura out on the campaign trail. That really hurt us. This year is different. Now they just need to get Barbara and GHW out there. Everybody loves Barb.
I heard from some of my former cheerleaders, that the Bush twins were a big hit at WVU! They said they were cute and 'spunky'.
Yes, it has to do with the fact the dems don't think the American people are worth respecting.
I'm in great company.
Hitler was always late for his speeches as well.
And better dressed
Rules should be invoked when posting about the Bush twins.
