yep. here's the latest liberal crock. note, the pilot in question is dead of course. i wonder if he was alive during the 2000 election

.....Linke's husband was admitted to the Texas Guard in the summer of 1972 to replace Bush. President [sic] Bush has said that he stopped flying fighter jets because the Alabama Guard unit didn't have jets, and he wanted to transfer to Alabama in order to work on a political campaign. But Linke says she heard a different story from her husband and Bush's squad commander, the late Lt. Col. Jerry Killian. Shortly after her husband joined the Texas unit, Linke says, the couple discussed Bush's service with Killian at a social event.

Contrary to some news reports that suggest Killian admired Bush, Linke says the officer didn't have much use for the young Lieutenant. He mentioned that Bush appeared to have a drinking problem, she recalls, but he was most offended by another incapacity: his fear of flying. According to Linke, Killian said Bush was grounded in his fourth year of flying after he became incapable of flying or properly landing a plane........

So they are saying Bush couldn't have landed that plane with his name on it on the carrier either! That means the whole carrier event did not happen! Post that on DU and watch the full system reboot + explosion.

For someone to have supposedly gone to the trouble of typing up a CYA memo for his own files, Killian certainly did blab to a lot of people, his feelings about W.

/sarcasm

I read earlier on DU that Bush used to be a chick.

I hope they can't prove it.

Imagine the DUmmies dilemma: embrace this story, but admit the documents must be fake because they don't mention any such thing and run the risk of no one listening since they were already wrong last time, or reject this story and hang on to a story that keeps looking worse and worse for them. Poor Jr. Soviets ... so much Kool-Aid, so little time.

Okaaay, so the wife of a long-dead pilot who supposedly replaced Lt. Bush in his squadron says her late husband said that Col. Killian said Bush was to drunk and afraid to fly his last year in the Guard...

Stop the presses.

but he was most offended by another incapacity: his fear of flying.

They really are desperate! He has a fear of flying, so he goes into the Air National Guard.

So, does that mean that he was too drunk to fly, or that after 4 years of flying experience he suddenly got worse at it. Was he too afraid to fly drunk? Or was he only not afraid of flying while drunk?

I have another theory, but it involves this being total bull$H/%

To desperate liberals, not only do dead men tell tales (especially negative, nasty ones about Republicans), but they almost always vote Democrat. ;)

CBS ..RATHER MUST CARRY THIS STORY IN ORDER FOR KERRY TO WIN!

Or, take second place for President, and lose his Senate seat later on.

That's what I'm saying. I don't even know how to fly a plane, but get enough booze in me, and I'd start to feel pretty good about taking the wheel and doing some barrel rolls.

Not just that, but didn't the President fly an F-18 to that infamous "Mission Accomplished" aircraft carrier?

He certainly sounds terrified.
