It was a Viking 4-seater ASW plane and, no, the Secret Service wouldn't let him drive.

If only Tubby Kennedy had a fear of driving over bridges, when he gets drunk.

I would, but I don't visit porn sites operated by the inbred. ;-)

I read earlier on DU that Bush used to be a chick.
I suggest we start a rumor that Kerry still is.
Or at least wants to be.

When you put it that way it sounds ridiculous! We should take this seriously.
Nah..can't do it.
I have the perfect way to settle this. Bush can go jump back into his flight suit those of us in the feminine camp drool over, climb in a jet, and perform a few manuveurs.
libs can't possibly object to that, right? LOL
To: nhoward14
He never did land on the carrier -- that a myth; his colleague in the plane did that. You don't land on a carrier without EXTENSIVE training, and very-recent experience.

Thirty-two years ago, her late husband Jan Peter Linke served briefly in the Texas Air National Guard's 111th Fighter Interceptor Squadron. Another dead guy speaks out.

My second cousin heard from her substitute hairdresser that the gay illegal alien who does his gardening was at a gay bar when a biker came in. After about a dozen shooters, he really started opening up. Long ago he had worked in Arkansas at a certain hotel and saw what went on in a certain room. Yep, it was a young drunken George Bush who had raped Juanita Broaddrick.

So they are saying Bush couldn't have landed that plane with his name on it on the carrier either! He flew the aircraft (an S-3) part of the way out to the carrier. He did not land it, he could not have landed it. He was an Air Force pilot, they don't land on floating postage stamps, where every landing is a (barely) controlled crash.

I know he didn't land it himself. I was sitting on a bean bag chair eating Cheetos watching it live. I know libs who think he did land the plane himself -- but he is too stupid to run the government himself. It's a paradox meant for Kool-aid drinkers only.
To: lonster
I'm sure drunks fly airplanes every day, sober or drunk. None flew the F-102 more than once, and lived to tell the tale.

I believe that this story is trying to make hay out of some recently released ANG flight logs that show Lt. Bush making multiple landing approaches. It just shows the self-satisfied ignorance of some reporters that don't understand that pilots often make multiple approaches and landings (touch and goes) to keep up their training. This is logged in the flight log as number of takeoffs and landings. The number of instrument approaches done for training may also be logged. I had read similar misguided stories based on on these recently released records, but I haven't been able to locate the actual flight logs on the internet. If anyone knows where the logs may be found, please post a link.
To: Dan Cooper
The President didn't look afraid of flying when he landed on the carrier.
To: JimNtexas
The President didn't look afraid of flying when he landed on the carrier. Of course not. Some of the press is trying to paint him as a bad pilot because they don't understand the information in his log book, or they are willfully misinterpreting it.
