Not to be picky, but Catholic Charities is rated 19 in effectiveness while Salvation Army is ranked 44.

Based on what? Like I said, Catholic Charities isn't even Catholic. And the Salvationists take their charitable responsibilities very seriously.

Based on rankings provided by Charity watchdogs who rate efficiency, fundraising percentages, money actually provided to aid, and other factors.

I could question why you even brought some idea that CC isn't Catholic, or why you bothered to mention it, but I won't.

I will simply keep my thoughts to myself.

Hate to tell yall but while you were debating the effectiveness of number 19 vs 44, the government just gave away 2 million dollars of our money and I would bet it didn't go to the Salvation Army or A Catholic charity. I'm thinking maybe UN or, grrr, the Red Cross. I wonder how much will go directly to the victims.
