Fraudulent documents seem to be a cottage industry over at CBS

They are a cottage industry in Iraq, no joke. A forged document showing Mohammad Atta (9/11 hijacker - "pilot") meeting with Iraq was passed off last year, but debunked as a forgery.

Do you know if there are any links to watch Rather's 1988 interview of the Vice President? I remember being upset about it when it occurred. In light of the recent developments, I would like to watch it again.

OK there's a connection here to the DNC. This past week Wolf Blitzer had fmr. US Att'y Joe DeGenova and fmr White Hous Counsel Tom Quinn to discuss Rathergate. DeGenova was demanding an independent prosecutor to probe an attempt to influence a federal election using forged documents. Quinn's retore began " If you want to talk about forged documents you have to talk about the State of the Union speech..." Blitzer cut Quinn off and DeGenova proceeded to clean Quinn's clock, but the non sequitur of the State of the Union just hung there. You don't suppose the DNC and CBS were staying in touch over 60 Minutes latest attack on the President. I mean the reference came out of nowhere and I usually do not see Wolf Blitzer put the clamps on a liberal's rant. Maybe this was not supposed to be addressed at that time.

Why did Quinn do it? DeGenova was making much too good a case for a Spec Pros and Quinn was flustered and looking for a comeback. I think FR and the Blogosphere could examine this "connection."
