KFOR removes fence around churchyard in Lipljan without consent of local Serbs

19:07 BUJANOVAC , Sept 20 (Tanjug) - Finnish KFOR troops removed Monday a security barbed wire fence around the church in Lipljan, the sole safe area for local Serbs in this Kosovo town. KFOR removed the fence without the consent of the local Serb community, Lipljan municipality President Borivoje Vignjevic told Tanjug.

The local UNMIK administrator was not informed of this move either, Vignjevic said, adding that when he insisted to learn who had given the order to remove the fence, KFOR told him it was done at the insistence of the Kosovo police

Lipljan, 20 September: Members of Kfor (NATO-led peacekeeping force in Kosovo) this morning at around 0600 (0400 gmt) removed a barbed wire which had been erected at the demarcation line between the Serb and Albanian parts of Lipljan, SRNA correspondent has reported.

The wire fence was put up on 17 March and, along with the stepped-up Kfor checks, it served as an additional security for the remaining Serbs in Ljipljan.

After the barbed wire was removed, the parents of 93 pupils of the Braca Aksic school prevented their children from attending school.

The chairman of the Serb National Community in Lipljan, Slavko Janicijevic, said that the community had appealed once again to UNMIK (UN Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo) and the Kfor command to re-erect the fence, or else the Serb pupils would not be able to attend school.

SERBIAN AGENCY REPORTS GROUP OF KOSOVO ALBANIANS BEAT UP TWO SERB COWHERDS
FoNet - September 20, 2004

Kosovska Mitrovica, 20 September: A group of ethnic Albanians attacked two Serbs from Priluzje and beat them up today around noon.

According to Serbian sources, the two Serbs were guarding their cows which were grazing on their meadows between Priluzje village and Glavotin.

Attacks against Serbs have already taken place at that location, and the hay in the fields owned by the Serbs has been set ablaze on numerous occasions.

More Clinton legacy.

The article skips over that christian persecution is "sanctioned" by the UN.

The removal of the fence is the first step in its probable torching and further ethnic cleansing of the Serbs of Kosovo. Kosovo and our war against the Serbs has become a forgotten front. It is out of the consciousness of our public and yet it was the first aggressive war we fought since the fall of the Soviet Union against people friendly tous. There was less justification for that war than for the Iraq war. I still don't understand why George Bush did not change our policy in Kosovo after his election, but instead adopted Clinton's self serving policy.

The Kosovo Protection Corp or the Kosovo police are our creation. They are the same people we recruited and armed for the KLA. We simply converted them into a police force. In 1998 they included large number of people whom we call al Qaeda today. I wonder how many of them are still there.
The KLA were terrorists in 1998 and as the Albanian Kosovo police they are still terrorists. They are responsible for the destruction of numerous Orthodox Churches and monasteries under our watch. Those churches survived 500 years of rather brutal Turkish occupation but could not survive four years of our occupation.

Ah, Mr. DTA continues with unsupportable, anti-American posts. Let's see, in the past couple days on FR you've accused the USA of creating Saddam and Osama, the CIA of honchoing the narcotics trade, the U.S. Air Force of deliberately terror bombing Belgrade, and now KFOR--which includes the U.S. Army--as taking bribes in Kosovo.

Why don't you just run back over to DU or step back from the keyboard for a while to read some more Chomsky?

Mark, long time no see, WOT getting hot, huh?

Please do not play liberal smear tactics on me.

The last time I checked, Finland was not part of U.S. and Finnish troops are not part of U.S. Army.

Question is, why don't the Serbs reestablish the concertina wire themselves? Would solve the problem in the long-term, but short-term would create a barbaric response from the KPC/KLA.

>>>>>you've accused the USA of creating Saddam and Osama<<<

Perhaps this is me with OBL on this photo?

Or perhaps was me who wrote all these articles dating back to the 1980's. Geez, I should get some hefty royalties.

Or it was me closing the deal with Uncle Saddam?

Again, or it was me writing all this?

Powerful countries have lasting friends but lasting interests. U.S. is no different. However, forgetting the errors from the past can and will backfire in the future.

Being Pro-American does not mean being blind, deaf and dumb.

Was the narcotics importation into American inner cities Pro-American activity perhaps?

Not in MY book.

Btw. what kept you so long from FR?

Being a patron of KLA-operated bordello is a form of bribery. Especially when using sexual service of underage prostitute, a felony in U.S. and Europe.

Aiding, abbeting prostitution racket is even worse - it is being part of crininal enterprise.

At least in the U.S.

Drugs are plentiful in Kosovo. Kosovo is a hub in world heroin trade. However, arrests are almost non-existent. How come? Kosovo area is only 4000sq mi. Unmanned drones can follow almost anything and anyone.

Money laundering, especially if proceed from the crime is a criminal offence in U.S. and Europe.

Take a look of valiant KFOR soldier at work Poor S.O.B. only wanted to go to Germany but boarded a plane for Zurich, Switzerland, a haven for stashing ill-gotten gains.

Kosovo is like supermarket for KFOR troops:

"The Berlin daily Morgenpost published information on March 14, 2002 that a member of the German KFOR contingent providing protection for the Orthodox Cathedral of St. George (Sv. Djordja) in Prizren (19th century) had been sentenced in Germany. The convicted soldier was arrested when he attempted to resell a diptych from the 17th century with an estimated value of 10,000 euros."

Europe is awash with art stolen from Kosovo.

How such acts are treted under UCMJ?

And you dare accuse me of being Anti-American?

I am Anti-scum, regardless of the passport they carry.

Because they think that without that rude fence in the way, the Serbs and the Muslims will play nice.

According to U.S. law, Organizations accepting funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development must certify that tax dollars will not be used to advance religion. The certification states that AID "will finance only programs that have a secular purpose. . . . AID-financed activities cannot result in religious indoctrination of the ultimate beneficiaries."

Financially supporting radical islamic indoctrination is against U.S. Law.

Because it backfires. Badly.

And you accuse ME of Anti-Americanism?

Where would Serbs get concertina?? From KFOR? Not too likely. KFOR including US forces have been tools of the KLA since first arriving in Kosovo in 1999. Their first mission was to go house to house in Serb neighborhoods and confiscate all weapons....making Kosovo safe for muslim terrorists.

Bin Laden was funded by Brezinski and the Carter administration in an effort to return a measure of autonomy to the people of Afghanistan. Bin Laden and his muslim fighters were at that time legitimate members of a potentially free Afghan society. It is not inconsistent to expect that Bin laden and other emergent leaders would not establish the kind of radically oppressive society that emerged under that Taliban. His mania ultimately turned him from freedom fighter to pretentious caliphate. Once again, he is getting consistent US policy defending individual human autonomy aimed at destroying his vision.

The cute Rumsfeld photo that lefties so adore fails to note that the agricultural credits and pro-Saddam gestures in the early 1980s were as a result of Saddam's cooperation in the capture of terrorists wanted for various attacks against Americans in Lebannon and elsewhere. Here again, we see the apparent consistency of American policy seeking cooperation in fighting terror. The minor carrots offered Saddam were not a complicity with later gas attacks on the Kurds as Leftists like to propagandize.
