It is hard to imagine how it feels to be in the soldiers position, although I have been thinking about it all day. I have just been contacted about going to Saudi Arabia and still don't know how I would feel.

Tears running down my face as I read this. He is a good man.

The soldiers mostly had cameras ready to take snapshots of Bush. Several requested autographs. They called out phrases such as "this is awesome." The president put a tie and suit jacket on after the rally and walked down one aisle and back up the other, offering gentle smiles and words such as "I'm proud of you" and "thank you." To me, what I have bolded and underlined, speaks more to the character of President George W. Bush, than any politicking, speeches, debates, addresses to the UN, State of the Union Addresses or anything else that can be politically conjured up.
The fact that he would change into a suit and tie speaks volumes of the respect and solemn charge he must feel towards our mission against terror, and the mountains of respect that he has for our service men and women.
I wonder if Kerry would have deigned to hold up his campaign to offer support for those men and women who had just gotten out of a very emotional situation -- saying good-bye, for a time or perhaps forever -- to friends and family, and were buckled down to put them selves in harm's way voluntarily.
'Nuff said ...
God Bless our Vets! God Bless our President!

"Just the difference between photos of President Bush and Clinton (Bill and Hil), Kerry and the other "rats" when they are among the troops is awesome. When Bush is around they are smiling and when the 'rats are around they may be respectful but "guarded".

You know what? I'm just as glad this isn't getting hugh or series coverage in MSM. First- the libs would accuse him of politicizing the war- and second he didn't do this for publicity- he LOVES these soldiers, period.
