Well maybe not all Democrats, but maybe some. Definitely the ACLU wants to ban the Bible. Seems like the SCOTUS would like that particular book to go away as well.

Don't have many of the facts....just my $0.02

Demos for Christ - Member for how many minutes now?

I don't know what the Dem party wants. But the office liberal I argue with all the time has two issues. 1) environment. 2) anti-christian.

He hates Geo. Bush specifically because he's a Christian. Thinks Christians are evil. Said precisely that.

Public school teachers have been fired for just having a Bible at school and/or reading it TO THEMSELVES at lunch or recess. And I remember cases of children being punished for writing a Bible story at school.

Actually the flier is quite accurate. Obviously the Bible won't be banned in peoples' homes [yet] but it certainly is banned at schools and in public discourse. And what about the 10 Commandments? They're illegal to post anywhere in public now.

Politics.................

If one party does it, the other does too.

There is no honesty or integrity.

It's politics.

"Bibles are already banned in schools, correct? Along with any mention of God. Unless you are Muslim."

No, they are not. You will find Bibles in every school library, and students are certainly allowed to take their Bibles to school with them. What you say is simply not true.

"Haven't the libs already created an environment that if you have a Bible on your desk at work someone can claim religious harassment? I think I remember reading an article where this had happened."

Nope...you're incorrect. You can take a Bible to work. You cannot preach to your fellow employees, though, unless it is permitted by your employer and other employees don't object.

During non-work hours, many companies provide space for Bible study groups.

Please check your facts.

Very sad if true.

Not good to see the GOP stoop to the level of the Rats, what with their "they're gonna take your right to vote away"-kind of ads targeting minorities, mostly blacks.

Why resort to gross exaggerations and lies when you're right/correct on the issues?

Over 35 years ago, my grandma told me to hold onto my Bible, because there would come a day that they wouldn't be allowed.

Good analogy. I was thinking about how they scare the old people about medicare and social security.

I am all for using fear as a motivator, and all for getting the evangelicals out to vote for the President in droves, but just wish that the GOP itself did not engage in this kind of tactic. There are droves of "independent" 527 organizations that thrive on this.

is that right? well, many guns (practical or not) have been taken away in the past, religious identity is being deluted at every turn, our country was built upon the sanctity of religious freedom not the expulsion of it. Like it or not we are also allowed to possess fire arms AND practice free speach such as informing people that their personal rights are being endangered. Now if it is a "scare tactic" to be blunt about someones agenda then so be it. Maybe a wake up call is in order. A hundred years ago my great grandfather walked with a gun in one hand and a bible in the other, he made this country great by personal conviction and moral integrity. But then again a troll wouldnt know much about that.

Stupid, Stupid, Stupid! This is going to get huge press, and it makes the RNC look like idiots.

Why do these things continue to happen? Why do we shoot ourselves in the foot so often.

And spare me the "it's all true" nonsense. The Democrats have lots of churchgoing Christians among them, too, despite their odd way of looking at things.

Stupid, Stupid, Stupid!

Sorry, there's no moral equivalence at play here. The flier's claims are true, and the Pubs' reasoning behind it is valid. The Bible is, to them, hate speech. The ACLU's record proves that.

We know we've gone astray when we start using the kind of scare tactics the Dems use, and this sounds like the kind of paranoid super-exaggerations that the Dems use to scare blacks and old people. And the MSM will not look the other way when the Reps do this, it will be played up to make the Reps look stupid and extreme and dishonest. And it IS stupid and extreme and dishonest.

No problem with the content of the flier at all; it's true. Whether this would have been better coming from a 527 I don't know. But I'm glad the subject's being broached.

"And there is a pastor sitting in jail in Sweden for preaching on Romans Chapter 1. The U.S. is heading in that direction if the leftist socialist nazis get their way."

Then issue a flyer addressing the specific issue of anti-homosexual beliefs being branded as hate speech; don't overstate the case by making it sound like the sale and possession of the Bible will be made illegal. Overstating the case will only make it easier for liberals to rebut you.

Ok, believe what ever you wish.

Both parties will say and do anything to "win".
