Does anyone doubt that some in the U.S. would love to see the Bible deemed hate literature? Anyone who doesn't believe this isn't paying attention.

Or this one where the 9th Circuit Court (I wonder what political party they belong to) is subverting the constitution...

Why doesn't the ACLU protect the legal rights of Christians?

Every school? I doubt that seriously.

It considers our foundational Judeo-Christian worldview a dominant, oppressive mileu. ACLU's founder, Roger Baldwin, has roots in the godless American Communist Party.

Ok, believe what ever you wish. Both parties will say and do anything to "win".

Yup, you are spot on. Further point. If I got such a mailing, I would be insulted that anyone felt I could be influenced by obvious pandering. It could actually have a boomerang effect.

They do in limited instances.

First of all, it's not a school. Secondly, if someone finds his postings offensive, then it has a right to be addressed, the same if he found a Muslim's wall postings to be offensive.

Haven't the libs already created an environment that if you have a Bible on your desk at work someone can claim religious harassment? I think I remember reading an article where this had happened.

From my earlier post, I was speaking about the workforce as well...

All you need to do is look at what is happening in Europe and Canada.

As I noted earlier though, evangelicals are a huge political force here and they are not in Canada or Europe. No doubt, there are plenty on the left here who have the same goal as the leftists in Sweden and Canada.

But the power of the church in America is an enormous counterweight that does not exist there -- and the things that have happened there will not happen here. Do you honestly think that there is a one in a million chance that the Bible could be banned in West Virginia?!

A liberal friend of mine mentioned this to me and I pointed out "how about when Democrats use fear tactics
to say Republicans want to get rid of social security and re-instate the draft?"

I just can't resist pointing out that the 27th Guam Legislature's fifteen Senators--Republicans and Democrats of a United States Legislature--brought the Bible into very sharp focus in a serious and public manner in early 2004. Just take a look at http://ChamorroBible.org/chamorrobibleproject/chamorro-bible-resolutions.htm and/or the summary at ChamorroBible.org ! (A few related words on this topic were posted in Comment #35 for the FreeRepublic.com article History of Bible Translation ( http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-religion/1232674/posts ).

In my personal opinion, we shouldn't even joke about banning the Bible in the USA (or elsewhere in the world).
