I placed complaint calls to the Associated Press office in New York immediately upon seeing that headline cross the wire. They directed me to the Washington office, where I spoke to a man named Tom Strong. After hearing my complaint, he asked me to leave my number, and someone would get back to me MONDAY! I informed him that the story would have been up for 48 hours by then and there would be no point. He became belligerent when I asked to speak to someone with the authority to do something about the biased headline, swearing at me. He then hung up on me. I called back to the New York office and reported his behavior. Ten minutes later, the headline was changed. I reported this to Drudge, but he didn't pick it up. Just thought I would share it with you guys.
BTW, they even ripped off the headline I suggested, down to the "Bush, Kerry" part.
