Vasquez refused to discuss his own lineage. "I don't see myself as Hispanic or Spanish. I'm an American," he said. This should be every American's attitude, and it's how American citizens should relate to each other.

Well, I skimmed that article lightly and responded with a post that incorrectly disparaged Vasquez. I had it removed.
It appears his efforts are on the up and up, and I didn't want to show disrespect for that.
