Biden Says Assured Allawi of Support if Kerry Wins

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A leading Democratic senator said on Sunday he assured interim Iraqi Prime Minister Iyad Allawi that U.S. support for him would continue if John Kerry (news - web sites) were elected president.

Allawi, who paid a high-profile visit to the White House last week, responded: "Thank you, and I know it," said Sen. Joseph Biden (news, bio, voting record), the ranking Democrat on the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Biden and other senators met with Allawi, who addressed Congress and the U.N. General Assembly during his trip.

In an interview on "Fox News Sunday," Biden angrily disputed assertions by the administration that Kerry's criticism of Bush policy in Iraq (news - web sites) meant he would abandon the effort.

"I personally was authorized by Kerry in front of all my colleagues to say the first thing in a private meeting. I said, 'Mr. President, you know me.' And he said, 'Yes, I do.' I said, 'I guarantee you that John Kerry as president -- you will continue to have the full support of the United States of America in order to be able to establish a representative republic.' He said, 'Thank you, and I know it."'

At the White House on Thursday, President Bush (news - web sites) said he and Allawi would "stay the course" in Iraq.

OK so Kerry is just lying now. Got it. But, how can you tell what is a lie and what is the truth. Maybe they need the see-BS on screen truth bug so the public will know.

Or is it safe to assume that even Kerry doesn't know which end is up.

Translation from liberalese into the English language: Mr. Allawi, you are a dead man, as will any Iraqi advocate for freedom and democracy, if the "rat party" wins.

Kerry thinks he could now work with Allawi, after insulting him to the core, by basically calling him a liar. Is this the "famous" Kerry diplomacy, that Kerry keeps telling us about?

Kerry is not only not fit to be president, he is not fit to be allowed near a microphone.

In his dreams... John Kerry basically calls Allawi a LIAR & Biden expects Allaiwi to believe that John Kerry would support U.S. efforts in Iraq? Yeah, right.

John Kerry is an ARROGANT BIGOT. From all appearances the only countries he would align the U.S. with are the European wussies.

But why would Kerry support someone whom the Kerry campaign has called a "puppet"?

I said, 'Mr. President, you know me.'

Mr. Allawi is prime minister. How clueless can Biden be?

The Dems are in a pickle on the Iraq issue. Ever since the primarys when Dean started attacking the Bush Administration, the Dems have become, more and more, the anti-war party once again.

Kerry was once publically attuned with the Bush admin but during the primarys he moved more and more to the left to negate the Deaniacs.

Now, his anti-Vietnam war stance is rehashed and he crows about the support from France, Germany and the EU, who are bonkers about the Iraq intercession.

More and more, Kerry is painting himself and his party as the anti-war party. With glee, they waited for the 1,000th death in Iraq. I believe they would spit on the American soldier in the same manner in which they welcomed home the Vietnam soldier.

The American people know we are at war with Muslim fundamentalism. Most know that killing the terrorists in Iraq is better than killing them on our own ground. The Russian slaughter at the grade school sent a collective chill up most American's spines.

It comes down to whom is the best War President. Some Senator with 20+ years of voting to reduce the effectiveness of the US or a War President who has effectively on the job for the past four years.

'I guarantee you that John Kerry as president -- you will continue to have the full support of the United States of America in order to be able to establish a representative republic.'

How can anybody guarantee what a flip flopping, lying sack of crap like Kerry will say or do now or in the future!

OTOH Biden is also a lying sack of crap so I guess it doesn't matter what he says either.

So Kerry was lying to his base (who believes Allawi is a liar and pawn) during that press conference?

So the essence of Biden's statement to Allawi was this: "Never mind what John Kerry said. He doesn't mean anything by it." Biden, the plagerist, with hair plugs, and a generally phony approach to all of government, is the right guy to deliver this (almost certainly) false message.

Allawi is apparently adjusted to the ways of Washington. He ansered "of course," rather than "you've got to be kidding."

Ah, yes, Biden.

What an interesting man.

He graduated from the correspondence school "Accountancy Made Easy."

He then feathered his credentials by lying about his "ivy league school background."

His IQ is barely room temperature, but, nevertheless, he mimics and prances about the senate chamber as an intellectually charged senator, when he fact he is an imbecile elected and re-elected by the morons in his state that are undermining our nation...like so many other morons.

The fact that Biden had to make this lame assurance to Allawi speaks volumes in itself, and Allawi is smart enough to know it.

If Kerry were somehow to be elected, Iraq would have to prepare for a bloodbath that would make the current unpleasantness look like a lawn tea party.
