This is a group of mother's with familiy members serving in our military that are against President Bush, this segemnt had John Edward's wife on with them and they were making the claim that our troops still don't have the body armour they need and that families are still having to buy these needed supplies for their familiy members in harms way.
Also, one mom said she wanted a President who was able to get more help from other countries!
Gotta wonder how their kids in the military feel about this.
I saw that...as a mother of two sons serving in the military, I couldnt disagree with what was said more. And DE is a deplorable interviewer.
yep I watched it, painful tho it was... that Mrs Edwards, would have the nerve to say parents are worried to have their children there without flak jackets etc.. KNOWING that Kerry voted against funding the troops took a LOT of gall...
the one mom that was speaking was very anti Bush, it was plain to see that she is a Democrat shill.
>And DE is a deplorable interviewer<
amen
and her rant this morning saying Ted Kennedy had good "points" made me want to barf!
Yeah, I saw one of them on another show. And she is a big deal in a local public school bureacracy. I think she is doing this because her Union told her to.
The "body armour" thing is a complete and utter lie as it was disproven by the military. Also, Kerry voted against the 87 billion appropriations bill for the troops. With 120,000 plus troops in the battlefield, the most they can find is a handful of women walking around? Disgraceful!!!
I sent ED an email - said her dim roots were showing. I turned on the TV during this spot - thought it was disgusting.
No surprise.
It's baloney that Kerry will get more help from other countries. France and Germany are on the record as saying they will not send troops to Iraq, no matter who is elected.
Whenever you hear that kind of crap disregard it. The troops left the states with body armor. EVERY ONE OF THEM. What the confusion is, is that they DO NOT stop bullets. They were never intended to. They are a shrapnel protective measure. I have seen the body armor STOP COLD a shard from a 105mm round that landed short. If hit by a bullet, it will most likely penetrate but at a MUCH LOWER velocity. That is the key to survivability. These "moms" would better serve their sons and daughters by SHUTTING THE F*** up. They also need to remember that their sons and daughters VOLUNTEERED for service and the ONLY ones wanting to bring the draft BACK is the freaking DIMS!
Her husband wasn't even in Iraq. I'm pretty sure he was called
up and deployed to Europe or Korea. He ain't in the middle east, she is a total jerk.
Gotta wonder how many of the moms actually wanted Junior to meet up with Gunnery Sargeant Hartmann, never mind Al Qaeda!
I emailed her after the moms thing. Lately she has been Alan Colmish. I asked her to do some research and homework before she decides to put her views on air. She comes across as very uninformed.
I noticed that about E.D. as well. And she spends more time ON VACATION than she does at her job on F&F. Wish she would go on a permanent vacation. Or better yet - when O'Reilly leaves maybe he'll take her with him.
My 84 year old mom just called me at the office furious about this segment. I've told her numerous times ED is a democrat and to ignore her, but mom was fuming. I'll call her back and read her some of the sensible posts on this thread. Thanks all.
Kay Bailey is on with ED now - refuting. She said it was beyond what should be said in political rhetoric.
As I listened to these women, I was reminded of the old saying that it is better to let someone think you are ignorant than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
Statements like these people made should be countered with facts, but E D was just so thrilled to have them on. She can't interview well because she gushes when it's someone she agrees with and only asks questions that will let them spin.
Thanks to the President and no thanks to Senator Kerry, my brother went to Iraq with all the equipment he needed to lead his unit to victory in battle.
The real question is: who is funding these harpies?
