I was asked by a friend, "As the BS gets deeper who do we believe??" This is the way I see it. Both sides say their information is true and expect you to believe it. If you believe one, why not believe the other? If you dont believe one, why should we believe the other?
Unbelievers
If you dont believe all the Vietnam-era BS, look at the candidates records in public office. Kerry as a senator: just check his voting record of 20 years. Check Bushs record as a governor, and now as president. Bush has accomplished many things. Maybe not everything you wanted, but he wins the "who did the most for the United States in the last 15 years" contest.
Believers
Now, for those who do believe all of the BS that Kerry and Bush supporters are saying: that Bush worked the system to serve in the Air Guard and then went on to serve in public office. But what about that public service? He served well as Texas governor, and as president, has taken the war on terrorism to our enemies on their soil, and maintained a satisfactory degree of safety and quality of life here in the United States.
Kerry came back from Vietnam, dishonored all Vietnam veterans (who were not welcomed home in the first place). Kerrys actions upon returning home only made things worse for our prisoners of war still in North Vietnam.
Then, Kerry went into public office and has accomplished little to nothing in the Senate.
Who do I want leading my country?
No question in my mind: Bush all the way.
If you respect those who served many years as POWs in Vietnam (some of whom I flew with) and would like to hear from them, you can go to their Web page, www.stolenhonor.com. The Web site is also linked from wilsoncountynews.com on the "Editorial" page. This is a privately funded site and not one of the campaign IRS Sec. 527 loopholes.

Ditto here, John, and thank you for your service.
People can easily discern between the candidate's war records.
Bush has signed Form 180, and Kerry hasn't. FOIAs bounce off Kerry's war records, wheras Bush isn't hiding anything.
Hoorah BUMP, with tons of thanks for your service to America.
(see tagline)
He makes a few perfect points tho.
1. The US Government directs the actions of the military. Therefore, to leave a "police action" (read: war) zone and come home and attack the very soldiers you ostensibly served with is shameful. Speaking against the government that put those soldiers in harms way is fine; that's what American liberty and freedom is all about. However, kerry decided to attack the military. Enough said about that.
2. A record of doing most things right, being honest, and being steadfast throughout is always preferable to doing little if anything, being deceitful, and flip-floping on almost every issue.
So I wholeheartedly agree - President Bush all the way.
