What the f*k is the FBI oing clueing an NYT reporter in on when they might raid?
Sorry -- proximal cause and putting responsibility where responsibility is due says the FBI or other agents of govrenment DA, whomever -- blew this one. A reporter's just a frigging reporter -- no oath, not trained in responsibility, not at all part of his job duty. This is friggin tush-covering.

Very good point. Why did the reporter know in advance about the planned raid?

It's just possible that they already have the perp(s) from inside our government in this filthy mess. Maybe that's where they got Sheron's name.
At least I hope so.

Could very well have asked them to sit on a story they already had not to blow the raid.
And if the journalist is enjoying the protection provided by the feds, they do have a responsibility not to undermind the investigation. That's the basic duty of any citizen, reporter or not.

I agree.
Unfortunately, the FBI (and the CIA) seem staffed out of the same secretarial pool as the NYT and CNN.
