SV just had Bush up 9 three days ago

W is up 2 among likely voters, but that represents a seven-point shift in Kerry's favor.

Exactly, SV has bush up 9 from yesterday's poll in Ohio. Gallup has always had Bush further behind in Ohio compared to their other state polls - I don't know why that is but that has been their pattern. I'm not too concerned here.

I believe that after each debate, the polls will begin to tighten. The expectations for Kerry in the debates is quite low and he will score a few points because of that. I can't help but hold on to the hope that Bush will win easily in the end.

Well then they must have good news for Bush because if he is up national by 8 and among registered by 13 and Ohio looks like this then PA and/or Fl must look good

Hard to believe. Need to compare this to other polls and trends. The Dems will milk this to the Nth degree..."Big Mo,"..."the inevitable turnaround,"..."the comeback kid." We need to disabuse the populace of the notion that Ohio is competitive.

No, actually SV is in line with the other pollsters thus far in many of their polls. They have NJ tied and Fairleigh Dickinson confirmed that today. So they are not out of line - actually quite in line.

I'm sure that this will prompt MoveOn.org to run another full-page ad condemning Gallup....

Kerry/
Edwards

Likely Voters K B

2004 Sep 4-7 44% 52 %

Now K is 48, W is 50, right? K up 4, W down 2.

Sorry, English major math here. Need numbers guys to look at internals on this one. (Just one more thing I love about FR)

In 34 days, Hillary will be the presumptive heir to the 2008 Dem nomination for President. She can taste it at this point.

Fox News has Bush up 4 in Ohio. Lake Snell Perry (a Dem firm, DON'T trust it) had Ohio tied yesterday. ARG has Ohio +2 Bush. Rasmussen has Bush +3.

On the other hand, Mason-Dixon has Bush up 8. The UC Ohio Poll has Bush up 11, and Strategic Vision has Bush up 9. So there are competing polls here.
