Another Flip-Flop
Back in 1992, John Kerry vigorously defended his candidate for President, Bill Clinton, against his democratic rival Bob Kerrey who had served and lost part of his leg. He decried the use of service in the Vietnam War saying it saddened him. We are left with a Kerry who says Vietnam service shouldnt be inserted into the campaign while standing up for Clinton who had admittedly dodged the draft.
Kerry speaking before the U.S. Senate said, "I am saddened by the fact that Vietnam has yet again been inserted into the campaign, and that it has been inserted in what I feel to be the worst possible way."
. . .
"We do not need to divide America over who served and how. I have personally always believed that many served in many different ways."

Back in February, John Kerry was
questioning Bushs Service in the Texas Air National Guard saying, Just because you get an honorable discharge does not in fact answer that question. He also took a cheap shot by saying he didnt have a problem with those that went into the Guard because there was a less likely chance of seeing combat. In other words he was saying Bush went into the Guard to avoid combat. The issue here, as I have heard it raised, is was he present and active on duty in Alabama at the times he was supposed to be? I don't have the answer to that question, said Kerry.
He also attacked Dick Cheney for getting a draft deferment...even though Kerry himself received four draft deferments and was denied a fifth.
