Don't tell us.
We're the United States.
We're not interested in your problems, we're just an evil, imperialistic empire that just wants your country.
Go tell the U.N., they'll help.
How are they coming by the numbers that they use? They plainly state there are no records in some countries, so are they just estimating the numbers?
I'm sure the living conditions in some of those countries are contributing to the problems, unfortunately what they want is money. Money does not filter down to those who need help all too often. They need to train birth assistants, and that is not that hard to do, and they need to train the people in the basics of hygiene and proper nutrition. The countries can do that, with help from WHO and volunteers. No money though, they just poop it off.
I thought it was a worthy goal until they included abortion. If they want to fight against maternal and neonatal mortality, they should not include trying to make abortion "safer". The neonatal mortality rate is 100% in those cases.
