Look up the record for the longest confirmed kill in combat. It belongs to a Canadian.

We're not all bad you know.

Hey, thanks. I've actually been reading this thing for several months now, just never got around to registering.

I did the same thing. A lurker first, someday I'll try to post an article, but not yet, LOL

"Canada has a problem...it is called Quebec"
Actually, the problem with Canada is not Quebec, but liberal Canadians. Some of the most Conservative and America loving Canadians are from Quebec. Mulroney helped us win the Cold War. It pains me to see what this great country has become. They are becoming the Anglicized version of France and Germany.

Problem far beyond Quebec. Just as in the case of the registration of firearms. There are very evil forces at work in Canada. ALL of Canada.

We really need to seal off our northern border.

I am beginning to think Canadians are more dangerous than Mexicans.[sarc]

I'm with you, man. Kerry and the Democrats could learn chapter and verse from Ontarians and Quebeckers when it comes to anti-American, defeatist, anti-Bush hatred. Ralph Klein's Alberta is the only sane place left in this country gone mad.
Watch out, America: the next big terrorist threat will probably emanate from the Great Unguarded North, most likely from Montreal or Ottawa.

Canada went down the crapper when Trudeau(Quebecois)was voted in, and became Anti-American when Chretien(another pea-soup-eater) took helm!

The US should offer them political asylum.

I can just hear Kerry: "...here's another example of Bush's alienating our allies...blah, blah, blah...."

These fine men need to enlist for US Army Special Forces, Marine Corps Sniper School or Navy SEALs. They're too good for the Canadian military. I believe they would receive US citizenship after X number of years service...anyone know the rules on that?

My USMC grunt son was trained at SOI by a Canadian US Marine. He was his best instructor, and a devestating opponent.

I made an inappropriate joke once about the Princess Patricia folks. I'm sorry I did it. Those guys are heroes.

As did I. Based complety out of ignorance as I sat on my butt in comforts of my living room. I owe them.

I would vote to grant them citizenship and camaraderie in a real country, too, eager and able to defend itself and its lesser neighbors I second that and propose to extend the offer to all like-minded members of the Canadian military.

Your going to be corrected on this. FR is not a blog, but a message board. Some people here are a bit strict with the definition. Blog is some dude in PJs typing from his living room.

We are tens of thousands!

Not even close. The degree of self-delusion required to meet that job's criteria would prohibit you from even finding FR. :-)

I'm constantly reading stories of how when the soldiers from our respective countries get together, often the Canadians are really curious about how they could get more involved with the US military and get some actual good accomplished, as opposed to standing around while the locals butcher themselves as per Rwanda.

We constantly pride ourselves in how we are a "peacekeeping" nation. Well, there is no other place in the world where the peace needs to be kept moreso than Iraq, and the best we can do is provide some destroyers for the Gulf fleet (which, as our government will tell you, are really just there to support the war on terror, and not the coalition in Iraq itself). Disgraceful.
