That softball was a land mine which the President was smart enough to swat away. This could have been a disasterous talking point for all the media, if he had come off as nasty or sneering. He handled it just right.
I agree...there were missed opportunities--one big one that comes to mind--Kerry said he was opposed to developing "bunker-busting" nukes--he said he was OPPOSED!!! Dubya should've nailed him to the wall for that!

One thing Kerry neglected to mention about his trip to the KGB underground installation. He didn't mention that his pictures was on the wall of heroes.
I think overall Bush won this debate, now let's see what the media has to say.
I disagree. I think that was one of Bush's better moments. It sounded like, "What do I care what he says about me?"
Anyone else notice the class Bush had in shaking Lehrer's hands before waving to the crowd? Kerry didn't make it at all from what I saw.
I wish Bush would have followed that up by saying Kerry will cut the nuclear bunker busters like he cut...and list them out like Zell did.
